Pro Tips for Lighting a Smudge Cup Effectively

• Use a candle instead of a lighter — a candle gives a strong, steady flame for consistent ignition.

• Light your smudge cup from the top corner — not the middle.
  It’s a charcoal cup filled with resin, so the charcoal edge needs to catch fire first for it to stay lit.

• Always use in a well-ventilated area to allow steady airflow — the flame needs oxygen to keep burning.

• Avoid placing the lid on your burner while lighting, as limited airflow can cause the flame to extinguish.
