How to Use Livani Resin Incense: Burners, Setup & Safety

Livani is a name you may see when shopping for frankincense incense. At Dante’s Luxury, it belongs to a world of fragrant rituals: a chosen moment, a favourite space and an intention that feels personal.

Our Livani guide is a starting point for understanding the format and planning your setup. Always read the individual product description, because ingredients, fragrances and use instructions can differ between incense products.

Livani and frankincense resin

Loose resin incense is different from an incense stick. Rather than placing a stick into a holder, you need a heating method and burner specifically suited to the resin. Some products use incense charcoal; others may be suitable for a purpose-made resin warmer. Follow the instructions supplied with both the incense and the equipment.

A decorative bowl is not automatically suitable for heat. Before buying, check the burner’s intended use, the recommended setup and any accessories you need.

A symbolic place in your ritual

You might choose incense to mark the beginning of a quiet reflection, an altar ritual or a moment of gratitude. In spiritual practice, fragrance can form part of a symbolic welcome or fresh start. Let your intention guide the occasion.

There is no need to fill a room with smoke or follow an elaborate sequence. You can also mark the same moment with a journal, an unlit candle or a spoken intention when burning incense does not suit your space.

Prepare before lighting

  • Confirm that your incense, burner and heating method are compatible.
  • Follow all product instructions, including where the equipment may be used.
  • Set the burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface, clear of draughts and anything that can catch fire.
  • Keep children and pets away. Remain present throughout use.
  • Allow the equipment and any ash to cool completely before handling or disposal.

Use incense where air can circulate, and do not carry a lit or hot burner around your home. The CFA’s incense safety guidance offers further practical advice. If the product instructions are missing or unclear, choose a ritual without burning until you have the information you need.
