How to make scented candle at home - a step by step guide

Making your own soy candle at home is a fun and easy DIY project that requires only a few materials. Here is a step-by-step process on how to make your own soy candle:
Materials you'll need:
- Soy wax
- Candle wicks
- Glass jars or tin containers
- Fragrance oil (optional)
- Double boiler or a pot and a glass measuring cup
- Thermometer
- Stirring utensil (a wooden spoon or a chopstick)
Step 1: Prepare your jars or containers by cleaning and drying them thoroughly.
Step 2: Measure the amount of soy wax you'll need to fill your jars or containers. Typically, you'll need about 1 pound of soy wax flakes for an 8-ounce jar.
Step 3: Melt the soy wax flakes in a double boiler or a pot placed in a larger pot filled with water. Heat the wax gently, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature of the wax. You'll want to heat the wax to about 170-180°F.
Step 5: While the wax is melting, prepare your wicks by attaching them to the bottom of the jars using a dab of hot glue or by tying them to a pencil or a chopstick and resting them on top of the jars.
Step 6: Once the wax is fully melted and reaches the desired temperature, you can add fragrance oil if you wish. The amount of fragrance oil you use will depend on your personal preference and the strength of the oil. A general rule of thumb is to use about 1 oz of fragrance oil per pound of wax.
Step 7: Pour the melted wax into your jars or containers, making sure the wick is centered and straight. Fill the jars almost to the top.
Step 8: Allow the wax to cool and harden completely, which may take several hours. Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before lighting your candle.
Congratulations! You have successfully made your own soy candle at home. Enjoy the sweet smell of your new creation. At Dante's Luxury we have mega range of scented crystal candles for your home, alter and workplace.
