Master Carlos Peruvian Shaman
I have many years of experience as a shaman; I worked together with my
grandmother who was the most well known shaman in Peru.
Around 25 years ago she started allowing me to conduct shamanic
ceremonies on my own after many years of training. Every year I head
back to my small town to continue my training as you never stop
learning the shamanic ways.
I learned from my grandmother who took me as her apprentice at an
early age. It is custom and tradition for a shaman to pick a successor
early on and begin training when they see fit.
The main ceremonies that I perform are:
- Extraction and rid of bad/evil energies.
- Cleansing rituals (Cleansing of your personal space and/or home,
(“baños de florecimiento”) "Flowering Baths" for prosperity).
- Blessing ceremonies with the aid of mesadas (allowances) and palo santo.
- Protection rituals against evil energies for both the individual and
their home.
I use my shamanic abilities to help those who are in need of either
spiritual guidance or cleansing. I do this by channelling my many years of
experience to perform the required ritual tailored to each patient.
Having been a Shaman for many years it is hard to pin point a single
experience; I get a lot of gratitude and sometimes notice a big change in
demeanour and energy as soon as the rituals conclude. Seeing people in
need feel happier and better is by far the most gratifying experience I
can have as a shaman.
When one conducts shamanic rituals you are faced with a wide variety
of challenges depending on the circumstance that the patient finds
himself in. Each shamanic ritual is tailored to the patient and thus the
challenge we must overcome is different from ritual to ritual.
I make sure that my practices are done to the best of my abilities, by
channelling my many years of experience and always having a spiritual
connection with my grandmother who is my spiritual guide. I listen to
your needs and use my experience to make sure that the ritual is
tailored to you and we can directly confront the problems you are
facing.
The best advice I can give to anyone willing to explore the world of
shamanic rituals would be to keep an open mind, be patient, level
headed and truly believe in the spiritual world. To not stray away from
your spiritual path and learn from whoever is willing to guide you as the
shamanic world is definitely very complex.
I stay connected to the spiritual realm through my continued travels
back to my home town in the amazon; where I connect with nature and
other shamans. In addition, I ensure to always maintain a spiritual
connection with my guide and master (my grandmother).
The most important lesson I have learned through my many years of being
a shaman would be to keep an open mind and to maintain a constant
and strong connection to my spiritual guide.
