Where was flower agate discovered?

Flower Agate was discovered in 2018 in Madagascar. It is a translucent crystal made from agate with opaque inclusions of chalcedony that often resemble flowers, hence its name. It can be found most often in shades of light pink but can include shades of red, brown and green with white formations.

Can you place flower agate in water?

The answer to this question is yes, Agate can go in water. As Agate crystal scores a seven on the Mohs hardness scale, it is considered to be a hard gemstone.

In theory, this means that it can withstand being in contact with water without any damage.

However, this does not mean that you should submerge your Agate crystal in water for an extended period of time.

Depending on the state of the crystal, this could actually cause harm to the crystal. If your crystal shows any signs of damage, such as chips, cracks or scratches, it is best not to expose it to water.

If you do decide to clean your crystal with water, the best way to clean your Agate crystal is by gently wiping it down with a damp cloth or soft brush and then rinsing it off in running water for about ten seconds.
